Engineers Without Borders Nepal was honored to host Mr. Greg Klemm, Deputy Ambassador of Australia, for an enriching and forward-looking discussion at our office. The visit served as an important moment to reflect on EWBN’s ongoing work, explore new avenues for partnership, and highlight the growing alignment between our values and Australia’s commitment to community-focused development.
During the meeting, EWBN shared updates on its key programs, including the expansion of women’s entrepreneurship initiatives, community empowerment through Innovation Labs (iLabs), and ongoing efforts in WASH, education, and youth leadership. Mr. Klemm expressed strong interest in these grassroots initiatives and commended the organization’s focus on engineering solutions that directly benefit vulnerable and rural communities.
The conversation also touched on the role of young engineers and university chapters in driving change at the local level, as well as the importance of people-to-people diplomacy in strengthening ties between Nepal and Australia. Mr. Klemm shared his enthusiasm for supporting future collaborations and acknowledged EWBN’s growing role in connecting global partners with community needs in Nepal.
His visit not only reinforced mutual respect and shared purpose but also opened doors to broader opportunities for cooperation—whether through future engagements, institutional partnerships, or knowledge exchange. EWBN extends heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Klemm for his time, insights, and willingness to explore meaningful ways to work together for sustainable impact.
