
President
Kapil Dev Regmi is the President-Elect of Engineers Without Borders International (EWBI) and the Founding President of Engineers Without Borders (EWB) Nepal. He established EWB Nepal during the 2022 lockdown and has since grown it into a dynamic social sector organization through strong global partnerships and community-centered engineering initiatives. His work focuses on micro-WASH projects, youth leadership development, and the nationwide scaling of the i-Lab innovation platform, empowering young innovators through mentorship and international exposure. He represents Nepal at global forums, academic institutions, and diplomatic platforms. Beyond EWB, he is the Founder Director of Kathmandu Pragya Kunja School and has been associated with several leading educational institutions in Nepal. He holds an MPhil in Educational Leadership from Kathmandu University and an MBA from Tribhuvan University, and continues to advance equitable development through impactful engineering solutions and global collaboration.

Vice President
Ang Dorji Lama completed his masters of Science in Construction Management in 2002 (with 3.15 GPA) from PU and completed Bachelor of Engineering in Civil in 1994 (first class with distinction) from Bapuji Institute of Engineering and Technology, Karnataka, India. He has visited 17 countries from Asia and Europe. He is currently the vice president of Federation of Contractor’s Association of Nepal (FCAN) and the president of Global Sherpa Association. He is currently the executive director of P. S. Construction Company Pvt. Ltd (since 2015 a.d) involved in technical supervision of 10 projects mostly focused on hydropower, highway and fast track. He was also a project manager for mainly projects related to Puspalal highway. He even worked as a project site engineer for 11 years since 1994 managing mostly roads related projects.

Secretary
Sojan Prajapati holds a master’s degree from the Technical University of Munich (TUM) and a bachelor’s from Kathmandu University (KU), and previously worked as an Analyst at Boston Consulting Group (BCG). In Nepal, he led a research team at ACEM, growing it into one of the largest research centers among private engineering colleges. He co-founded Ting Ting, a product of Prixa, Engineers Without Borders Nepal, where he empowered over 800 students across seven schools and established chapters in all four universities, and SpeakUpNepal, Nepal’s first online petition platform with 30,000 plus users and 100,000 plus social media followers advocating civic engagement and positive change.

Treasurer
Ms. Shreemita Maharjan is the treasurer of Engineers Without Borders Nepal. She is an educator and has been shaping young minds for the past decade. She is working as a Program Coordinator in Kanjirowa National Secondary School. She did her Masters in English Literature from Tribhuvan University.She has worked with The Himalayan Times, newspaper as a journalist and Image Channel as program presenter. She has also worked as a freelance writer/editor for Rotary Club of Bagmati and Inner Wheel Nepal.

Vidushi Rana is a visionary Executive Director and the Honorary Consul of Iceland to Nepal, renowned for her exceptional track record in marketing, branding, and business growth. She is widely recognized for revitalizing Goldstar Shoes, a 50-year legacy brand, and transforming it into a modern industry leader. As the current Vice President of CNI and an active contributor to various business and social initiatives, she is dedicated to promoting Nepal’s economic and cultural potential. Beyond her corporate achievements, Vidushi is celebrated as a youth icon and advocate for positive change, leveraging her platform to empower communities and elevate national pride. Her leadership, remarkable accomplishments, and unwavering commitment to Nepal’s progress and prosperity make her an exemplary business leader, a catalyst for innovation, and a true force for transformative impact.

Sudixya Adhikari is a strategic leader and cross-industry professional with expertise in FMCG, luxury spirits, sports management, brand marketing, trade marketing, and media marketing. An aspiring entrepreneur, she blends creativity with commercial strategy to drive brand growth and lead impactful campaigns. Known for clarity, collaboration, and result-driven thinking, Sudixya is committed to building brands that inspire and create long-term value, while staying rooted in her purpose of giving back to society.

Director
Dr. Pradhananga is currently an Assistant Professor in Pulchowk Campus, Institute of Engineering, Tribhuvan University. She obtained her Bachelor in Civil Engineering (2004) from the same institution, Master in Transportation Engineering (2007) from the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand and PhD in Urban Management (2010) from Kyoto University, Japan. She has over 15 years of national and international experience in research, teaching, and professional practice in the transport sector. Her areas of specialization include urban mobility, highway engineering, and transport safety. She has also been involved in overseeing national and regional projects related to transport planning, design and policy.

Director
Dr. Pratisthit Lal Shrestha is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Kathmandu University and the Principal Investigator at the KU Design Lab. His work integrates mechanical engineering, assistive technology, and inclusive design, with a strong focus on community-centered innovation. His research covers additive manufacturing, prosthetic systems, and disability-inclusive engineering, with particular recognition for developing low-cost, context-sensitive prosthetic solutions for marginalized populations. He was an INSA/DST-ISRF Fellow at IIT Madras (2022–2023), where he advanced his research in inclusive technology design. At the KU Design Lab, he leads interdisciplinary teams in prototyping, testing, and disseminating human-centered technological innovations.

Director
Kabita Pandey is an Architect and Urban Planner with a decade of professional experience at Nepal Academy of Science and Technology (NAST). Her work centers on disaster risk reduction and the Indigenous Technology Program, where she focuses on integrating traditional knowledge with modern planning approaches to strengthen community resilience. Passionate about sustainable development, she is dedicated to advancing research and promoting evidence-based solutions for Nepal’s disaster-resilient future.

Jonas is an experienced consultant and manager in the fields of education, sustainability, finance, and entrepreneurship. He has worked on international projects across five continents, in more than 25 countries, and with over 100 companies from various sectors. He began his career in an international strategy consulting firm and later served as CFO and head of corporate development at a Swiss education company. Jonas brings a strong connection to our director team, youth members, and the mission of EWB Nepal. His focus on sustainable and entrepreneurial approaches to drive meaningful impact especially for those who need it most aligns closely with our vision

Steven Bosiljevac, P.E., CAPT USPHS (Ret.) is a civil engineer with over four decades of experience in engineering, construction, and humanitarian service. He served more than 28 years as a commissioned officer in the U.S. Public Health Service, specializing in rural potable water and wastewater systems for Native American communities and U.S. National Parks. A licensed professional engineer in New Mexico and California, he has volunteered with Engineers Without Borders USA since 2008 and has supported projects in Peru, Nicaragua, and Nepal through the UC Berkeley chapter. A former U.S. Peace Corps volunteer in Nepal, he continues to mentor Engineers Without Borders Nepal as a professional engineer.

General Manager
An architect with a Master’s in Energy Efficient Buildings, experienced in sustainable design, low-cost housing, and post-disaster reconstruction.

A dedicated engineer and community leader, blending research, service, and innovation to drive impactful WASH, education, and sustainability projects.

Ms. Pallavi Kunwar is an accomplished engineer with a strong commitment to engineering for positive social impact. She holds a master’s degree in Chemical Engineering from Seoul National University and a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering from Kathmandu University. She previously served as General Manager of Engineers Without Borders Nepal, where she led transformative engineering initiatives with passion and purpose. Drawing on her experience as an overseas sales engineer in South Korea, she effectively combines technical expertise with business acumen. Her dedication to sustainable development was further strengthened through her fellowship with Engineering for Change (USA).

Beyond technical design and construction, she volunteers on community-based and disaster recovery projects, offering engineering support wherever needed. She believes in building both resilient structures and resilient communities, guided by inclusive, ethical, and sustainable engineering practices.
