A joint team from EWB Nepal, University of California, Berkeley, and Shree Roshi Secondary School came together for a productive site visit and coordination meeting aimed at deepening collaboration and preparing for upcoming project activities. The visit was attended by Kapil Dev Regmi, Er. Nitisha Kafle, Ar. Skanda Rimal, Er. Palisha Shakya, and Prof. Steven L. Bosiljevac, alongside representatives from the school management and teaching staff.
The team engaged in detailed discussions focused on preparations for the upcoming Berkeley team visit in January, ensuring that the groundwork for effective implementation was well laid. They conducted measurements of the school’s area and elevation to support design planning and site assessments for future infrastructure work.
In parallel, a WASH survey was carried out, gathering crucial data on menstrual health management, hygiene practices, and sanitation behaviors among students and staff. These insights will help shape interventions tailored to the school’s specific needs, promoting improved hygiene awareness and inclusive access to facilities.
The visit underscored the shared commitment of all partners to co-create solutions that are context-sensitive, data-driven, and sustainable. With each step of preparation, the collaboration between EWB Nepal, UC Berkeley, and Shree Roshi Secondary School continues to grow stronger, paving the way for impactful work in the months ahead.
