On September 4, Engineers Without Borders Nepal hosted Uttam Pudasaini, Co-founder and CBO of NAXA, for a dialogue session on “Digital & Spatial Technologies for Social Good.”
Mr. Pudasaini shared his experiences of applying digital mapping and spatial technology to address real community challenges. He spoke about his journey from student projects to leading social-tech ventures, reflecting on the lessons learned while developing solutions that connect technology with social impact. He also discussed NAXA’s ongoing work in using drone-based mapping, data visualization, and digital platforms to improve disaster response and community resilience.
Founded in 2014, NAXA is a Geo-ICT company that designs and implements spatial and digital tools to tackle challenges in disaster management, climate resilience, and sustainable development. Their work focuses on creating location-based decision tools and supporting climate-smart planning for communities across Nepal. We sincerely thank Mr. Pudasaini and the NAXA team for their time and insights during this engaging and inspiring session with EWBN members.
