On 25 January 2026, Engineers Without Borders (EWB) Pulchowk and Superteam Nepal organized
the Web3 and blockchain session as an introductory platform for students to explore emerging
opportunities in blockchain technology and the broader Web3 ecosystem. Conducted as part of the
Superteam Nepal University Tour, the event aimed to foster a builder-oriented mindset among
students while bridging the gap between academic learning and real-world technological innovation.
The program introduced participants to the Superteam community and the Solana ecosystem,
highlighting pathways such as hackathons, grants, bounties, and startup initiatives that enable students
to actively engage in global projects.
The session began with a welcome and overview from EWB-Pulchowk representatives, followed by
discussions on the fundamentals of blockchain, the importance of decentralized systems, and the
opportunities available within Web3. The speakers emphasized the role of universities in nurturing
innovation by encouraging students to experiment with new technologies and collaborate on
meaningful projects. Practical guidance was provided on how students could begin their journey in
Web3, including learning blockchain development, joining the Superteam network, and participating
in collaborative initiatives such as hackathons and mini-hacks.
A key theme throughout the session was the importance of hands-on learning. The speakers stressed
that active participation in building and experimentation leads to deeper understanding compared to
purely theoretical study. Students were encouraged to identify real-world problems and explore
decentralized solutions, while also recognizing the value of mentorship, networking, and community
involvement in their growth within the global tech ecosystem.
The event had a positive impact, attracting enthusiastic participation and equipping students with a
clearer understanding of how to transition from learners to builders. Participants were introduced to
practical opportunities within the blockchain space and guided through the process of joining the
Superteam Nepal community, ensuring continued engagement beyond the session. The program also
inspired many students to further explore blockchain technology and consider involvement in future
innovation-driven initiatives.
