The Nepal Engineers’ Association (NEA) and Engineers Without Borders Nepal (EWB Nepal) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen collaboration in humanitarian engineering and sustainable development in Nepal.
The MoU was signed in June 2026 at the NEA office by Mr. Kapil Dev Regmi, President of EWB Nepal, and Mr. Subash Chandra Baral, President of NEA.
The agreement provides a framework for the two organizations to work together in areas of mutual interest, including knowledge exchange, research, technical workshops, seminars, conferences, and capacity-building activities. It also aims to encourage collaboration among engineers, technical experts, volunteers, and young professionals in community-based engineering initiatives.
Through this partnership, NEA and EWB Nepal will identify opportunities for joint projects, strengthen professional networks, and promote the application of engineering knowledge to address social, environmental, and development challenges. The collaboration is based on mutual respect, transparency, and professional cooperation and seeks to support engineering contributions to Nepal’s sustainable development. On the occasion, Mr. Regmi shared EWB Nepal’s initiatives on Innovation Lab at Community Schools (i-lab), WASH projects in rural communities partnering with EWB-USA and Immersive Study Tour (IST).
