Felicitation Ceremony: Deaf School Playground Design Competition

On 23 August 2026, we celebrated the creativity and thoughtful ideas behind our Playground Design Competition for the Deaf School through a special felicitation ceremony, honouring the winners, runners-up, and honorable mentions.
The competition had invited Nepali and Swiss architecture students to envision an inclusive and accessible playground for a rural deaf school in Dhading. Each submission brought a unique perspective on how spaces can engage all senses and create meaningful experiences for every child.
A heartfelt thank you to all the participants for their creativity, dedication, and thoughtful designs. We are also grateful to our internal jury members and external jurors—Ar. Shristina Shrestha, Ar. Jean-Lucien Gay, and Ar. Fabienne Hugi—for their valuable time, feedback, and dedication throughout the evaluation process.
EWBN’s GM Skanda Rimal extended a special thank you to the school staff and children, who reviewed the top three designs and helped select the one that resonated with them most. Their voices made the process even more meaningful.
Congratulations once again to all the participants!
