Engineers Without Borders Nepal (EWB-N) proudly expanded its global network this September by signing new partnerships with Engineers Without Borders UK (EWB-UK) and Engineers Without Borders Sweden (EWB-SWE). These collaborations mark a significant step toward fostering knowledge exchange, strengthening international cooperation, and promoting sustainable engineering practices.
The MoU with EWB-UK, signed in London, focuses on international education, shared learning, and community-based collaboration. It opens opportunities for Nepali students and educators to participate in the Engineering for People Design Challenge and paves the way for future cooperation in workshops, advocacy, and joint initiatives. During the signing ceremony, John Kraus, Chief Executive of EWB-UK, emphasized the transformative power of collaboration, while Kapil Dev Regmi, President of EWB Nepal and President-Elect of EWB International, highlighted that the partnership represents a model of mutual learning and shared growth between the two organizations.
Similarly, on 8 September, EWB-N met with EWB-Sweden representatives at Sandvik’s office in Stockholm, with Sandvik serving as EWB-SWE’s main partner. The meeting included Petter Wihlborg (Board Member), Jan Burenius (President of the Board), and Jan Byfors (Vice President of the Board) from EWB-SWE, alongside Kapil Dev Regmi representing EWB-N. Discussions centered on strengthening collaboration, exploring joint project opportunities, and deepening cooperation between the two organizations.
These new partnerships mark an exciting milestone in EWB Nepal’s mission to connect Nepali engineering initiatives with the global movement for sustainable development.
