A celebration of student innovation: i Jatra at Darchula

i-JATRA 2082 was successfully held on 7th November 2025 (Friday) at Shree Malikarjun Secondary School, bringing together students, educators, local leaders, and the wider community in a vibrant learning festival. The event featured 10-15 student-led stalls and attracted an estimated 4,000-4,500 visitors, reflecting strong community enthusiasm.

Different personnels such as the Mayor of Mahakali Municipality, WorldLink Communications representatives, parents and guardians, teachers, school leadership, students from neighboring schools, and local community members visited the stalls.

Students showcased a wide range of creative and practical products, including 3D-printed items, recycled-material prototypes, science and engineering models, agricultural and herbal products, handicrafts, artworks, decorative items, interactive games, and locally prepared foods such as Badku and Pakauda. Through the event, students gained confidence in communication and public presentation, strengthened teamwork and problem-solving skills, and learned practical concepts of entrepreneurship such as pricing, customer interaction, and stall management. They applied design thinking and hands-on skills learned through the iLAB program to develop real products and services.

Teachers observed significant improvement in students’ confidence, creativity, and responsibility. Parents and community members expressed pride in seeing students independently present and sell their creations. Local representatives emphasized the importance of skill-based education in preparing youth for the future.

Representatives from WorldLink Communications visited several stalls and interacted directly with students, appreciating their creativity, confidence, and ability to translate ideas into tangible outcomes. They recognized i-JATRA as a strong example of how industry–school collaboration can create meaningful learning experiences.
